are the requirments for the editor lesser than those for the game? i.e. is there a chance the editor will still work if i download it? i don't really care about not being able to play it.
Hey Fruz, I just got the game running on my computer finally. I had the same error as you but i got around it. Check out this forum for ideas, i've got a post on the last page as 'commander cromo' but basically the thing that fixed it was reinstalling the graphics card drivers. I've now got the new graphics card running and it goes pretty well. On a high resolution it crashes out but medium resolution looks ok. The graphics card i bought, same as Jodi, is a ATI Radeon 9600 Pro, and if we are getting nerdy it was the only AGP (the kind i'm geussing you need) that the shop stocked as they are pretty much obsolete. Check out my blog for what my specs are if you are looking to compare. I could go on with more nerdy stuff if you need some info as i did a bit of research into it, so let me know.
Hi Fruzzi and Jules, yeah it's pretty intensive and as the editor and the game directly access the same engine (notice the in editor preview) if your machine won't cope with one it won't cope with the other. We do have the lab booked for the rest of session one and two is in the pipeline so that is our fallback. Remember to close the editor if you want to play it in full game mode, otherwise you'll have two versions of the game going at once and a real recipe for disaster.

duh. ok i found the editor.
but it still gives me 'the system has encountered an error and has to close' messages. i'll try to sort it.
